Bangkruai, my district (ie, "county") in Nonthaburi Province, is in world news today for a school shooting. It was about 5 miles west of us in this heavily populated area on the northern rim of greater Bangkok.
Apparently, a 14-year-old accessed his grandfather's pistol, killed his grandparents, then shot up his school, killing teachers and students. This is dominating national news, and details are still coming out.
